We are proud to announce our first annual event focused on bias, fairness, and transparency in machine learning. Created in partnership with Women in Data Science (WiDS), The Institute for Advanced Analytics, and RTI International, our focus is a broad range of topics related to the ethics of modeling for high-stakes decisions. The content is free to all, but we humbly request that participants contribute to the Institute for Advanced Analytics' enhancement fund to promote our mission to increase representation in the field of data science.

  • Model Agnostic Interpretability
  • Metrics of bias and fairness
  • Policy solutions and business frameworks for ethical data science
  • Applied analysis of bias in high-stakes decision modeling
  • Strategies for ethical storytelling with data

Opportunities for networking with professionals from the data science community will take place in between sessions and a competitive trivia session (with prizes!) during Friday’s lunch hour will test your knowledge of current events and topics from conference speakers!
